We were pleased to have such a good turn out for Intro to Aquaponics Certificate Course this weekend at Eastern OK Stare University. About 30 people devoted most of their Saturday to teaching, learning, and sharing what's they've learned about aquaponics. Attendees came from all over the state: Krebs, Sapulpa, Tulsa, Norman, OKC and Stigler to name a few.

Some students just wanted to learn more about aquaponics and how they could use it in their own lives whether it was for health or financial reasons (ie, garden hobbyists and organic eaters). Others had loftier goals, including using aquaponics commercially, applying it to the farm-to-table concept for a restaurant, using it as a tool to "get off the grid," and sharing a love of gardening and locally-sourced produce in an education-based setting. Aquaponics really is for everyone.
